TrinityRail Maintenance Servicesย is searching for a talented team player to fill the opening ofย EHSย Managerย at ourย Shell Rock, IA plant facility.

This role owns the site's safety and environmental function, partnering with leaders to drive compliance, reduce risk, and support Trinity's goals. As a new, state-of-the-art railcar maintenance facility, we are looking for a hands-on EHS leader who can build trust, strengthen systems, and help shape a culture of safety accountability from the ground up.

What you'll do:

  • Own and lead safety and environmental programs that support compliance with company expectations and regulatory requirements
  • Drive compliance through EHS Management Systems, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and RCMS
  • Lead and develop multi-shift safety professionals responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving safety and environmental programs
  • Lead safety investigations across departments, ensuring timely fact-finding, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and shared learning
  • Oversee workers' compensation matters, including case investigation, return-to-work support, and partnership with Operations
  • Own high-hazard work analysis, ergonomic assessments, and proactive risk evaluations that reduce exposure and improve workplace conditions
  • Lead multi-shift safety committees, training, and coaching that reinforce accountability, employee engagement, and safe work practices

  • Certified Safety Professional certification strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Skills are a plus
  • Working knowledge of safety, environmental, health, and workers' compensation regulations
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, RCMS, or similar management systems
  • Experience leading audits, corrective actions, and compliance follow-through
  • Ability to lead, coach, and influence across all levels of the organization
