What will you do as an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager at Sealed Air?

As the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager at our Simpsonville manufacturing facility, you will lead the site's EHS strategy and drive the development of a world-class safety and environmental culture. You will serve as a strategic partner to plant leadership, providing EHS expertise, strengthening regulatory compliance, and developing programs that proactively reduce risk, improve environmental performance, and embed safety into how the site operates.

  • Lead the EHS strategy for the Simpsonville facility, translating corporate objectives into site-specific priorities, programs, and measurable improvement plans.
  • Build and strengthen a zero-injury culture by influencing plant leadership, developing the EHS team, and embedding proactive safety practices throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Provide functional leadership and technical expertise for environmental, health, and safety programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead EHS risk assessments, audits, incident investigations, and root cause analyses, using data and trends to establish corrective and preventive strategies.
  • Own site environmental compliance programs, including air permitting, pollution prevention, wastewater, waste management, and environmental risk mitigation.
  • Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and site leadership to integrate EHS requirements into capital investments, operational changes, and loss prevention strategies.
  • Establish and monitor EHS performance indicators, analyze emerging risks and trends, and advise site leadership on actions required to improve safety and environmental performance.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the site's EHS management systems, training strategy, and Lean EHS practices while developing the capabilities of the EHS organization.
What do you need to be successful?
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety experience within manufacturing or complex industrial operations.
  • EHS strategy development and site-wide program leadership.
  • People management and technical team development.
  • Environmental regulatory compliance and air permit management.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • OSHA, environmental compliance, and occupational safety management.
  • Title V Air Permit management and implementation.
  • EHS management systems, including ISO 14001 and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Behavior-based safety culture development.
  • EHS data analysis, performance metrics, and proactive risk identification.
  • Capital project EHS risk assessment and management of change.
  • Lean EHS and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience partnering with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, operations, and senior site leadership.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $128,300-$220,915

The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs. Sealed Air offers a competitive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits designed to promote well-being.
