Are you passionate about creating safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplaces? We are seeking a dedicated EHS Analyst to join a dynamic team in Lake Charles, LA. This critical role offers the opportunity to influence health, safety, and environmental practices at a major facility, ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
As an EHS Analyst, you will lead and supervise key environmental, health, and safety activities, supporting operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will help shape a safer workplace and environmentally sustainable practices, making a measurable impact on the site's performance and integrity.
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
  • 3-5+ years of relevant EHS experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations
  • Ability to manage air, wastewater, and hazardous waste compliance programs
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification
  • Experience with ISO9001 Quality certification maintenance
  • Plant process improvement experience
  • Knowledge of emergency response planning and incident investigation

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Willing to travel up to 10%
  • Demonstrates initiative, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence others positively

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
  • Long-term, direct hire position with a target salary of $75,000-$85,000 annually
  • Must be able to maintain and manage documentation, permits, reports, and audits
  • Comfort working in high-stress environments and leading safety initiatives
