Job description

Eaton's Electrical Sector - PCD Division is currently seeking an EHS Analyst to join the team. This position supports environmental, health, safety, and security onsite at the Beaver, PA manufacturing facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do:
The EHS Analyst will support EHS activities at the site; investigation and problem solving of on-the-job injuries and illness; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; closure of MESH and regulatory findings in a timely manner; completion of training for required EHS personnel; and creating a strong zero incident EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS and continuous improvement processes.
Essential Functions:
  • Site Engagement: Support the EHS team in development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives. Including the development of goals for site manager, leadership team, and front-line leaders to drive EHS culture, compliance, and result. Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year including joint safety committee with IBEW union. Support MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Support development and maintenance of a site-specific training process to ensure that required EHS & Security training is defined, addresses required content and is tracked to completion. Manage the digitalization of EHS record retention and deployment of site communications.

  • Assessments and Controls: Facilitate risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Support completion of risk assessments at the location to identify and prioritize EHS & Security hazards and aspects. Keep risk assessments updated during line changes, equipment improvements, or first aid incidents. Support deployment of EHS & Security element champions and teams and facilitate their engagement in ownership of activities required to achieve the site's EHS & Security targets and objectives. Support front line leaders and element champions in completing hands-on evaluations for cranes, forklifts, LOTO authorized personnel and QEWs. Lead/Support site efforts to ensure that key EHS operational controls are in place and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.

  • Compliance: Work with the site EHS leaders and EHS & Security element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance with Federal, State, local and company EHS & Security requirements. Maintain and implement regulatory compliance obligations. Support efforts achievement and maintenance of third-party recognition - such as ISO 14001 that establish Eaton's EHS & Security program as world-class.

  • Incident Management: Participate in incident investigations, near miss reports, safety concerns root cause and corrective actions.

  • Reporting: Utilizes the company's EHS & Security database (MESH PRISM and Benchmark) to manage data related to EHS & Security incidents, environmental metrics, and EHS & Security action plans.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, Environmental Management, Industrial Technology or related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 6 months' experience in EHS (including internships and co-ops)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience in EHS
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry
  • GSP, ASP or CSP certified
  • Experience with environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Experience working within a unionized facility
