Description

EGC Construction, an operating unit of Messer Construction Co., is currently seeking an Ironworker with Commercial/Industrial experience to join the team.

EGC employs more than 120 skilled craft workers that focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. We offer general, commercial and industrial construction including electrical work, millwrights, pipe fitters and structural steel detailers. EGC is proud to be part of the Messer family of companies, and we are committed to building what matters most for our customers and transforming the communities in which we live.

Headquartered in Newport, Kentucky and have been servicing local, regional, and international clients since 1978. EGC is committed to the safety and continuous improvement of our safety systems. We have received national safety awards as a result of our performance.

What You Will Do:

  • Rigging structural steel
  • Connect and bolt-up of structural steel
  • Detail work on structural steel, such as installation of bar joist, bridging, decking, and handrail
  • Welding of structural steel (stick welding) and rigging of equipment
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety rules and regulations associated with industrial steel industry
  • Using required tools to perform daily tasks as needed

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • OSHA 10 Certified, preferred
  • Candidates must have transportation and good communication skills
  • Willing to travel
  • Be able to work in a variety of seasonal and weather conditions
