To thrive as an EFL Teacher, you need strong knowledge of English grammar, language teaching methodologies, and typically a bachelor’s degree plus a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification. Familiarity with virtual classroom platforms, language assessment tools, and digital teaching resources is often required. Excellent communication, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability are crucial soft skills for connecting with diverse learners. These competencies ensure effective instruction, student engagement, and successful language acquisition in a variety of learning environments.
