Summary:

The clinical Lead EEG Technologist provides advanced neurodiagnostic expertise and daytoday operational oversight for the EEG teams in both Portland and Scarborough and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at MMC Portland. This role ensures highquality patient care, consistent clinical standards, efficient workflow coordination, and strong communication across locations. The Lead EEG Tech serves as a working technologist while mentoring staff, supporting training and competency development, and collaborating with physicians, leaders, and multidisciplinary partners within Neuroscience Services.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. License/Certifications: Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology Program required. Current ABRET credential (R. EEG T.) required. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required. Advanced credentials (CNIM, CLTM) preferred. Maintains required continuing education (minimum 10 CEUs annually).
  3. Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of EEG experience.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Experience with LTM, EMU operations, or ICU EEG monitoring. Proficiency with EEG acquisition systems and neurodiagnostic software.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience preferred. Multisite or supervisory experience preferred.
