Gross Annual Base Salary: USD 151,000 - 196,000

Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply. Total compensation is based on experience, skills, and location using objective, job-related criteria.

Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer II to join our OneStream MarketPlace development team. OneStream provides Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software for large corporations. The product is designed for high-end deployments at customer facilities or in the Microsoft Azure cloud. The OneStream Platform contains complex OLAP, multi-dimensional, multi-server, multi-threading, web, and SQL technologies and is specifically designed to solve problems for the Office of the CFO at large corporations. This role's primary responsibilities are to design, develop, and maintain MarketPlace solutions that leverage and extend the OneStream platform.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and architect solutions that work interactively, including web-based, inter-process, and embedded solutions.
  • Provide documentation of source codes, define and improve standards, APIs, flow diagrams, and review code requests.
  • Build and deliver solutions that meet or exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Proactively suggest options for solutions that make the feature easy to use and improve customer experience.
  • Drive requirements discussions based on value delivered to customer.
  • Participate and contribute to reviewing other team members' unit tests.
  • Lead design discussions and planning. Provide complex design requirements for major features and new solutions.
  • Mentor engineering team members in best practices and coding standards, assist in software design, and provide training.
  • Serve as an onboarding partner for new hires and training.
  • Serve as a required approver for pull requests and release branches.
  • Run and lead formal code review meetings.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by leadership.


                          Required Education and Experience

                          • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Software Development, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline experience.
                          • 8+ years of development and industry experience with detail-oriented software design and a strong command of design patterns and problem-solving expertise in areas such as memory and performance tuning of managed code and SQL query optimization.
                          • Understanding of RESTful API design and experience in building and assembling installation automation for deployment.
                          • Ability to review other team members' unit tests.
                          • Experience with deployment of software solutions into cloud-hosted infrastructure and experience with building deployment automation using Git Actions or DevOps pipelines.
                          • Understanding of SSO configuration, website file management, access, session data, web application development, and debugging.
                          • Experience with SQL query analysis and optimization, relational dependencies, indexing for queries, partitioning, and stored procedures.
                          • Familiarity with front end frameworks and languages like React, Angular, JavaScript.
                          • Capable of speaking to and demonstrated best practices when it comes to AI assisted coding.
                          • Solid understanding of cloud-based infrastructure, preferably in Azure.
                          • Proficient in language frameworks such as C#, VB.NET, .NET.


                                              Preferred Education and Experience

                                              • Domain and Financial Systems expertise.
                                              • 3 or more Azure Certifications.

                                                  • Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and high-performance applications.
                                                  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey complex technical information clearly to engineers as well as non-technical stakeholders.
                                                  • Strong analytical and debugging skills to resolve complex software issues.
                                                  • Ability to work cross-functionally and convey technical concepts clearly.
                                                  • Ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
                                                  • Comfort in a fast-paced, evolving environment with continuous learning and improvement.
                                                  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud-based deployments.
                                                  • Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection principles.
