Job description

Program Manager

The Program Manager shall have comprehensive knowledge of aerospace engineering/avionics specialist field services for the Basic Combat Fleet F-16C/D Block 40/42/50/52 aircrafts. This Program Manager shall have a comprehensive knowledge of operations and maintenance support for the necessary operations, maintenance, and support personnel required to install the High-Speed Data Network (HSDN), Modular Mission Computer/Programmable Display Generator (MMC/PDG), Remote Interface Panel (RIP), Center Display Unit (CDU), Helmet Mounted Integrated Targeting (HMIT) and Secure Mission Data System (SMDS) Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) modifications on F-16 aircraft. The Program Manager will have a thorough understanding of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition, program management and the F-16 modification community, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force. The Program Manager has the knowledge of support activities that assist the customer in assessing what programs are within schedule and cost baselines, be able to recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternative courses of action. The PM shall be able to plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms of development, production and deployment of weapons systems and associated equipment; formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost, schedule, and performance objectives. The Program Manager shall be able to support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory reports, (i.e., Financial, MAR, etc.). Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviews and IMP/IMS reviews.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide program and technical expertise for existing TCTO and future modifications to the F-16.
  • Conduct training for new team members and maintenance personnel as required.
  • Perform field level diagnostics and repair components, as necessary.
  • Provide programmatic updates to Senior leaders in GMRE and USAF

Education and Experience
  • MA/MS with 12 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience OR
  • BA/BS with 15 years programmatic experience with 5 years DoD experience OR
  • Certifications with 20 years programmatic experience with 8 years DoD experience.
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Required
  • Position may travel up to 50% of the time out of state and overnight to fulfill contract requirements.
