Job description


Responsible for developing, managing, and ensuring compliance with all corporate documentation, learning management system content and implementation across projects and other corporate system initiatives for all departments. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of training and compliance systems to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
  1. Document Development: Create, edit, and maintain corporate documents, including policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Document Control: Implement and manage a document control system to track document versions, approvals, and distribution, ensuring timely access to the most current documents for all employees.
  3. Compliance Management: Ensure all corporate documents align with legal and regulatory requirements, conducting regular reviews and updates as needed.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, safety, HR, and finance, to gather information and ensure all documentation accurately reflects company practices and standards.
  5. Training and Support: Develop training programs and materials to align with the corporate learning management system and provide support to employees in understanding and utilizing corporate documents effectively.
  6. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and demonstrating compliance with established procedures.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in document management and development, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency.
  8. If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  9. Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
  10. Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  11. Comply with daily, weekly and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
  12. Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
  13. Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath's Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  14. Able to work 40 hours a week, overtime when required, and shift rotations, as required.
  15. Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.

Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
Knowledge Required:
  1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document development and control, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.

  1. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in the mining industry.

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

  1. Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  1. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  1. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  1. Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.

  1. Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment.

  1. Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.
