Job description

Role Summary
MANN+HUMMEL Filtration Technology US LLC seeks a Manager Product Development for full-time position located in Gastonia, NC to lead all product development activities for the NAFTA filtration business segments, including Passenger Car, Industrial, Powersports, and Heavy Duty.
Main Tasks
  • Develop and implement product strategies and lifecycle management plans for Independent Aftermarket (IAM) filtration products.
  • Coordinate with Sales and Marketing to support new product introductions and product line expansions across multiple brands.
  • Manage and analyze Vehicles in Operation (VIO) data and related tools to support product decisions.
  • Prepare financial and technical justifications for product selection, including profit estimation and ROI analysis.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and benchmarking. Create product bulletins and new number announcements.
  • Provide technical support and product training, including during internal training sessions.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily and ad hoc activities of the product development team.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Independent Aftermarket (IAM) filtration product knowledge within the organization.

Experience
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field

Experience:
  • 5 years of progressive post-bachelor's degree experience as a Product Manager, Sales and Product Engineering Manager, or closely related occupation in the auto parts industry.
  • The five years of progressive post-bachelor's degree experience must include at least 1 year of experience with cataloging channels of automotive filtration products for independent aftermarket, Original Equipment (OE), and Original Equipment Suppliers (OES); G-KAT for cataloging; CIM Database; and Project Lifecycle Management for automotive filtration products.

  • Up to 5% travel to company locations in North America. Full-Time position. Located at MANN+HUMMEL Filtration Technology US LLC in Gastonia, North Carolina.
