Job description

ThermalWorks LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Training Content Developer to join our team, working directly with the Operations Department and Project Manager and focusing on building and maintaining the company's internal training curriculum and broader instructional content. The role translates technical expertise from ThermalWorks's subject matter experts into structured courses, assessments, and reference materials for a growing service technician workforce. The role also supports adjacent content needs as they arise, including marketing collateral, product overviews, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing technical documentation.

The Training Content Developer needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment. The right person can work well both independently and with a team.

ThermalWorks values efficiency and strives to maintain smooth operations. Our primary focus is on providing an integrated cooling system for data centers and commercial buildings that dramatically reduces the energy demand, water consumption and cost of cooling. It transforms the economics and eco-metrics of commercial cooling with zero water solutions that outperform air- and water-cooled systems in any climate.

ThermalWorks solutions are sustainable and cutting-edge. For that reason, we are highly selective about the people we bring on board because our work depends on it. Change and progress happen quickly, and we must be able to trust one another to be honest, communicative, reliable and self-motivated. We seek ultra-creatives and superstar performers with a sense of humility and a hunger to make a positive impact in the world. We offer flexibility and endless growth opportunities to those who can harness their skills and talents and identify how and where to use them to add value. ThermalWorks is one of several "inspired infrastructure" companies that work collaboratively under our parent company, Endeavour Energy, LLC. At the heart of this ecosystem is a diverse group of bright, passionate, dedicated people, working together to make a real difference for people and the planet. ThermalWorks is looking for someone to join our team to help us move the needle toward sustainable change. Are you ready to join the journey?

Key ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:
  • Design and author training courses across the ThermalWorks Operations Training Program, beginning with the Level 1 Service Technician curriculum and extending to subsequent levels as the program matures.
  • Build SCORM-compatible deliverables using a chosen authoring platform (iSpring Suite, Articulate 360, or comparable).
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts in technical operations, compliance, and lab operations to capture and verify technical content.
  • Develop assessments, quizzes, and competency evaluations in coordination with the compliance function.
  • Manage version control and maintain audit-ready documentation across all training content.
  • Maintain the training matrix and module library on SharePoint.
  • Develop content for new hire onboarding, recurring recertification cycles, and product update releases.
  • Author marketing materials, product overviews, sales enablement collateral, and customer-facing technical documentation as company needs evolve.
  • Adopt and apply AI-assisted authoring tools (NotebookLM, Claude, and similar) as part of standard workflow.
  • Stay current on instructional design best practices and authoring tool capabilities.
Skills & RequirementsEducation / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, technical communication, education, or a related field, preferred.
  • Three to five years of instructional design or training development experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and at least one SCORM authoring tool.
  • Portfolio of completed technical training courses.
  • Strong technical writing and editing skills.
  • Organizational discipline and ability to manage multiple parallel projects.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles, particularly for kinesthetic and technical learners.
  • Comfort working in Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.
Specific Skills / Abilities
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or technical-training environments.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical systems, or data center cooling.
  • Experience with NotebookLM, Claude, or other AI-assisted content development tools.
