We invite you to become part of a close knit team supporting the students in the George Washington Medical Campus at Sinai Hospital!
About the Role:
  • The Central Clerkship Administrator provides support to departments at Sinai Hospital to implement and administer required clerkships in the George Washington MD program curriculum. This is a student facing position that will work collaboratively with the clerkship director and faculty in the supported department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure all processes are in accordance with accreditation requirements and school policies.
  • Ensure all physicians teaching and evaluating students have faculty appointments.
  • Be familiar with accreditation standards and school policies.
  • Stay current with best practices and participate in academic societies and committee meetings.
  • Maintain up-to-date clerkship materials (syllabus, educational schedule, website, etc. )
  • Administer and monitor evaluation of all aspects of the clerkship program.
  • Assist, solicit and collect evaluations of students by faculty
  • Assist Director in compiling grades.
  • Assist the clerkship director in monitoring and tracking progress and completion of clerkship
  • Compile relevant clerkship data and prepare reports for the program director
  • Support medical students taking the clerkship
  • Manage orientation of clerkship students including preparing orientation packets
  • Onboard students ensuring they meet requirements for each site (EMR, training requirements, etc. )
  • Assign students to sites or patient care teams.
  • Set-up and remind students to complete duty hours and clinical encounters in relevant databases.
  • Handle student queries and requests.
  • Manage aspects of the learning environment and learning activities to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Schedule, secure and book rooms for simulation experiences and educational sessions and exams.
  • Order, coordinate, and proctor shelf exams

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience
