Job description

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, this position is accountable for the organization, administration, continued development, evaluation and effectiveness of educational programs and training of clinical staff. The Nurse Educator must possess a high degree of knowledge, skill, and competence in nursing.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience nursing. Demonstrated ability to work in a collegial and collaborative relationship with other health care team members in the promotion and provision of comprehensive patient care. Mastery of principles and practice of nursing required. Mastery of adult education techniques preferred. Excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills using the English language required. Independent judgment, organizational ability and initiative are required. PC skills for word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software required.

Licenses/Certificates: Alabama Registered Nurse License required; Current BCLS
