Position Title: Resource Coordinator
Department: CSBG
Location: Scenic Meadows Apartments amp; Delmar Meadows Apartments, Springfield, MO
Reports To: Greene County Center Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Employment Type: Part-Time (20 Hours Per Week)

Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation (OACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and strengthening communities by providing services and support to individuals and families throughout the Ozarks.


Position Overview

Do you enjoy helping others, building relationships, and connecting people with resources that improve their lives?

OACAC is seeking a Resource Coordinator to serve residents at Scenic Meadows and Delmar Meadows Apartments. This position works directly with families and seniors to connect them with community resources, provide educational opportunities, and create meaningful programs that foster engagement, independence, and a strong sense of community.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, coordinating activities, and making a positive impact in the community.


Work Schedule
  • Part-Time, 20 hours per week
  • 10 hours per week at Scenic Meadows Apartments
  • 10 hours per week at Delmar Meadows Apartments
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required to accommodate resident needs and community programming

Key Responsibilities
  • Build trusting relationships with residents and families
  • Connect residents with community resources including rental assistance, utility assistance, food resources, healthcare services, tax preparation assistance, and other support programs
  • Plan and coordinate educational and enrichment programs for residents
  • Organize community-building activities and events
  • Develop monthly activity calendars based on resident interests and needs
  • Recruit volunteers, interns, community organizations, and partner agencies to support resident programming
  • Promote volunteer opportunities, including participation in the Foster Grandparent Program
  • Maintain regular communication with residents through flyers, phone calls, social media, and community outreach
  • Maintain accessible office hours for residents at both housing locations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Missouri driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to travel between assigned locations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in community services, social services, housing programs, senior services, education, or nonprofit organizations
  • Experience coordinating programs, events, or volunteer activities
  • Experience working with diverse populations

Required Skills and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Ability to organize multiple projects and priorities
