Our mission is to deliver exceptional service to the medical community in Houston and surrounding areas, providing cutting-edge Arthrex implants and instruments. Joining our team means working alongside skilled surgeons in operating rooms, consulting on the safe and effective utilization of Arthrex products.

Main Objective:

Professionally and actively work within the medical education department to carry out and oversee medical education strategy and implementation at Arthrex Houston. This will require the development, organization, communication, and monitoring of medical education programs which ensure the safe and effective use of Arthrex products and improve the knowledge of Arthrex Houston representatives and local Health Care professionals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, implement and coordinate Medical Education activity fpr Arthrex Houston including educational courses, labs, grants, symposium, and lectures within a defined budget.
  • Coordinate instructional programs for surgeons on surgical procedures and products
  • Manage surgeon visits and interact with visiting surgeons on Arthrex-related affairs
  • Work directly with surgeons and customers on projects as needed and manage consulting surgeon relationships
  • Manage program for professional development for employees on anatomy, products, and surgical procedures
  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive medical education program touching on all levels of HCP education across all Arthrex categories
  • Develops and conducts sales training with Arthrex Houston Technology Specialists on company products based on sales and marketing business priorities
  • Coordinates and participates in the planning, organization and execution of national and local cadaver workshops for HCP's.
  • Provides guidelines and supports processing HCP lab related data as needed
  • Demonstrates general understanding of the orthopedic conditions, patho-anatomy and biomechanics as it relates to the utilization of Arthrex Products in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Serves as a liaison for organization, implementation and development of Arthrex Houston sales force for all MedEd related activities
  • Works closely with Sales Optimization Team on on-boarding of new hires at Arthrex Houston, developing and overseeing their development through IOT training
  • Works closely with Arthrex Houston Management Team, overseeing monthly product and pathology training across all Arthrex categories
  • Enforces lab protocols for Arthrex Houston, ensuring successful HCP trainings and event

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in one of the Biomedical Sciences or clinical medicine preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of knowledge and experience in orthopedic surgery and instruction (arthroscopy preferred)
  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, etc.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic products.
  • Must be willing to travel for events at Naples, FL Arthrex Headquarters and various society meetings
  • Excellent oral and written skills

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Ability to communicate, interact professionally and meaningfully with HCPs.
  • Ability to teach and develop training materials is required.
