Job description

This position is onsite at our New Rochelle, NY office.
Position Purpose:
The Platform Product Manager will inform the development of new online educational products for multiple applications within a larger platform. They will collaborate with stakeholders, other Product Managers, UX designers, and engineers to create innovative, customer-focused products meant to enhance teacher instruction and enrich the student learning experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Represent multiple modules on a platform that is accessed by millions of users with multiple curriculum products
  • Help gather requirements and answer questions for new amd existing digital products with key stakeholders
  • Clearly communicate the details of completed, in progress, and planned work across the platform working closely with other Product Managers
  • Track and document stakeholder feedback and team decisions
  • Represent the user in stakeholder conversations, communicating and identifying user needs into new product features for product teams to design
  • Train and communicate with other departments on use of digital product

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum 3-5 years in product management working in the K-8 edtech space
  • An understanding of the needs of teachers, administrators, parents/caregivers and students
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with ability to manage stakeholders
  • Knowledge of current ed tech trends and capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively and handle multiple projects and teams simultaneously
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Understanding of WCAG and Accessibility guidelines
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Pre-K - 6 literacy instruction and digital solutions that support it
  • Contributor of solutions to interactive and user experience challenges
  • Problem-solver with ability to think out-of-the-box and empathize with users
  • Working knowledge of user experience, user interaction, and responsive design across mobile platforms, devices, and products

Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
