About Accruent

Accruent is a global leader in intelligent asset, facilities, and real estate management software helping organizations connect their physical world to their digital future. Our platform powers mission-critical operations for thousands of customers worldwide, from Fortune 500 enterprises to fast-growing disruptors.

Backed by Fortive (NYSE: FTV), we combine the agility of a SaaS innovator with the scale, discipline, and financial backing of an established global enterprise. At Accruent, we're building technology that enables customers to make smarter, faster, data-driven decisions, and we're looking for bold, growth-minded leaders to help accelerate that growth.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy, roadmap, and modernization of Accruent's industry-leading Engineering Document Management System (EDMS). This role is responsible for shaping the future of a mission-critical platform used by some of the world's largest industrial, energy, manufacturing, utility, transportation, pharma, and infrastructure organizations to manage their engineering information and digital asset records.

This is a highly strategic and customer-facing role that requires deep enterprise software experience, strong product leadership, and a passion for solving complex customer problems. You will work closely with large enterprise customers to understand their document control, compliance, data governance, and operational information management challenges, translating those needs into a compelling product vision and roadmap.

A critical component of this role is helping lead Accruent's continued evolution from a mature on-premise platform to a modern cloud-based solution. The ideal candidate understands the realities of enterprise software modernization, including customer migrations, hybrid deployment strategies, cloud adoption barriers, security requirements, and change management within highly regulated industries.

The successful candidate is a self-starter who combines strategic thinking with execution discipline, thrives in complex enterprise environments, and demonstrates exceptional empathy for customers navigating digital transformation initiatives.

What You'll Do:

Product Strategy & Market Leadership

  • Define and communicate a compelling vision for Accruent that aligns customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Develop and manage a multi-year product strategy that balances cloud transformation, customer retention, modernization, innovation, and long-term business growth.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen Accruent's position as the leading engineering information and document management platform for asset-intensive industries.
  • Analyze market trends, customer requirements, regulatory changes, and competitive solutions to inform roadmap investments.
  • Champion investments that improve usability, scalability, security, interoperability, and cloud adoption.

Cloud Transformation & Platform Modernization

  • Lead the strategic evolution of Accruent's on-premise and cloud offerings.
  • Define roadmaps that support customer migration journeys while continuing to deliver value for existing on-premise deployments.
  • Partner with Engineering to prioritize modernization initiatives that improve scalability, performance, reliability, maintainability, and deployment flexibility.
  • Balance customer demand for stability with investments required to accelerate cloud adoption and long-term platform transformation.
  • Help establish a clear vision for hybrid, cloud, and future platform capabilities.

Customer Engagement & Voice of Customer

  • Build trusted relationships with strategic enterprise customers and industry leaders.
  • Lead customer discovery activities including executive briefings, customer visits, advisory boards, workshops, and user research.
  • Develop deep understanding of engineering workflows, document control processes, asset information management practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer throughout product planning and execution.
  • Validate product investments through direct customer engagement and measurable business outcomes.

Enterprise Roadmap Management

  • Own and prioritize a complex roadmap spanning customer commitments, modernization initiatives, compliance requirements, technical enhancements, and innovation opportunities.
  • Make informed tradeoff decisions based on customer value, business impact, implementation effort, and strategic alignment.
  • Drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups while maintaining focus on long-term product strategy.
  • Define clear product outcomes and success metrics for major initiatives.
  • Guide investments that improve customer satisfaction, adoption, retention, and expansion.

Product Discovery & Delivery

  • Lead continuous discovery efforts to uncover unmet customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with UX and Engineering teams to design intuitive, scalable solutions.
  • Translate business and customer requirements into detailed product specifications, epics, and user stories.
  • Support product development from concept through delivery, adoption, and optimization.
  • Measure product performance and continuously refine priorities based on data and customer feedback.

Integration & Ecosystem Strategy

  • Define integration strategies that enable Accruent to function as a central source of engineering and asset information.
  • Drive product investments that improve interoperability across enterprise systems, including ERP, EAM, CMMS, GIS, CAD, PLM, and operational technology platforms.
  • Partner with platform teams to strengthen APIs, data services, identity management, workflow automation, and ecosystem connectivity.
  • Evaluate strategic partnerships and technology opportunities that expand customer value and strengthen market position.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Engineering, UX, Customer Success, Professional Services, Support, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to execute product strategy.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, product direction, and customer insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Support go-to-market planning, product launches, customer communications, and field enablement activities.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture focused on delivering measurable business outcomes.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably within enterprise B2B software.
  • Proven success managing complex enterprise software products with large installed customer bases.
  • Experience managing products through major technology transitions, including SaaS transformation, cloud migration, platform modernization, or large-scale enterprise architecture evolution.
  • Strong customer-facing experience engaging enterprise stakeholders, executives, and operational teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance long-term platform strategy with near-term customer commitments and business priorities.
  • Experience defining and executing multi-year product roadmaps in highly complex environments.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to make data-informed decisions and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, drive alignment, and operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Engineering Document Management (EDMS), Asset Information Management (AIM), Operational Information Management (OIM), Asset Lifecycle Information Management (ALIM), PLM, or related enterprise information management platforms.
  • Experience supporting customers in industries such as oil & gas, energy, power generation, manufacturing, mining, utilities, transportation, pharmaceuticals, or other regulated industries.
  • Direct experience modernizing on-premise enterprise software and successfully transitioning customers to cloud-based solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, identity management, workflow automation, and data interoperability strategies.
  • Familiarity with digital twin initiatives, engineering data management, AI-powered document intelligence, search technologies, and knowledge management solutions.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
