Job Title: Washington Learning Academy Secondary TeacherPrimary RoleThe Washington Learning Academy Secondary Teacher facilitates academic and personal growth for students enrolled in the alternative program. This role combines online learning through Edmentum with small group instruction, progress monitoring, and individualized goal setting. The Teacher serves as a mentor, supporting students in building accountability and re-engaging with their education. By fostering relationships, tracking progress, and providing targeted instruction, the Secondary Teacher helps students succeed both academically and personally.
Key AccountabilitiesJob Specific Responsibilities- Facilitate and monitor student learning through the Edmentum platform, ensuring alignment with curriculum and individual learning goals.
- Provide small group direct instruction to reinforce academic content and address student needs.
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes to support academic achievement and program goals.
- Support students in setting academic and personal goals, and track progress toward those goals.
- Follow up on student absences to ensure engagement, accountability, and program participation.
