Promote MKTG 360o Services

  • Actively learns about Layton's portfolio, services, and market needs through reading past proposals, training opportunities, discussions with peers, BD partners, etc.

  • Provides marketing support to key initiatives through creation of brochures, brown bag materials, etc. focused on technical capabilities and benefits.

  • May coordinate development of non-proposal support materials such as brochures, presentations, etc. ensuring consistency of message, and adherence to established quality and brand standards across all deliverables. 

  • Applies knowledge of Layton's/SBU's overall service offerings including strategic initiatives.

Capture Planning and Proposal Development

  • Supports pursuit teams to advance our positioning and deliver proposals that resonate with our clients. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of pursuits: team coordination, messaging, formatting, proofreading, coordination with graphics and teaming partners, editing, quality reviews, compliance, brand adherence, and efficient and timely production. 

  • Contributes to content development for proposals and other collateral pieces under the direction/supervision of others.

  • Supports action planning and progress tracking.

  • Conducts research to identify best Layton qualifications (experience matrix, project descriptions, resumes, etc.) and competitor information.

Maintain and Leverage Marketing Information

  • Responds to requests for information and client research assistance.

  • Helps to create and maintain well-organized, accessible, up-to-date qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes that reflect firm strengths and client benefits. This work includes writing, researching, and editing.

  • Proposal "break down" and "unpacking": resume and project description updates to Cosential; unique or new content shared broadly through AdobeCC or boilerplate library.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business or a related field or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing. AEC industry experience a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); proficient in MS Office (namely PowerPoint).
