What are Remote Editors?

They often collaborate with writers, publishers, or content teams via digital communication tools. Remote Editors need strong language skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with editing software. This flexible work arrangement allows them to serve clients from anywhere in the world.

What Is the Job of Remote Editors?

A remote editor’s job is to improve written communication for their employer. Unlike in-house editors, remote editors work from home or another location outside the office. Remote editors work on all types of written formats, such as books, articles, websites, corporate publications, training manuals, legal documents, and scientific papers. The specific tasks of an editor include correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors; fact-checking; and rewriting unclear sentences. Job description

Role: Videographer

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Remote, United States

Role Summary:
401GO is looking for a creative, fast-moving, and story-driven Videographer to help bring the future of retirement to life through video. This is not your typical corporate video role. We want someone who understands branding, storytelling, social media trends, and how to create content that actually gets watched. You’ll help build the visual voice of one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in the country by producing content across brand campaigns, events, podcasts, interviews, social media, product storytelling, customer testimonials, thought leadership, recruiting, and more. If you can take an idea from concept to final edit—and make it feel modern, cinematic, energetic, and authentic—we want to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Capture and produce high quality video content for marketing campaigns, social media, events, podcasts, customer stories, product launches, recruiting, and executive thought leadership.
  • Travel to conferences, partner events, client locations, and company offsites to document and create engaging content in real time.
  • Edit fast-paced short-form content for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Create long-form storytelling content including interviews, mini-documentaries, educational videos, and company culture pieces.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and executive teams to turn ideas into compelling visual stories.
  • Help shape and evolve the 401GO visual brand identity across all channels.
  • Produce behind-the-scenes, customer testimonial, and founder/executive content that feels authentic and human.
  • Shoot our video podcast.
  • Assist with podcast production, lighting, sound, camera setup, and live event capture.
  • Manage video equipment, lighting kits, audio gear, editing workflows, file organization, and content libraries.
  • Stay ahead of content trends, editing styles, AI video tools, motion graphics, and platform algorithms.
  • Bring creative ideas to the table—not just execute tasks.
  • Submit a portfolio, link or demo reel

What You Bring:

  • 3+ years of videography, video production, or content creation experience.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing storytelling, editing, social content, interviews, events, and branded video work.
  • Advanced experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro or similar editing tools.
  • Understanding of lighting, audio, framing, cinematography, and production workflows.
  • Experience creating content optimized for social media performance and engagement.
  • Ability to move fast, adapt quickly, and thrive in a start-up environment.
  • Strong eye for branding, pacing, music, transitions, and visual storytelling.
  • Experience shooting with professional camera equipment, drones, gimbals, and mobile content tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable working directly with executives, clients, and teams across the company.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to own projects from beginning to end.
  • Bonus points if you understand fintech, SaaS, AI tools, podcasts, or performance marketing content.
