What are common challenges faced by Edison Engineers during their rotational assignments?

Edison Engineers often encounter challenges such as quickly adapting to new technical domains, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and building rapport within new teams every few months. The fast-paced structure of the program is designed to accelerate learning, but it requires strong time-management and communication skills. Successfully navigating these challenges can lead to significant personal and professional growth, as well as exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines and leadership opportunities.

Job description

About the Employer
Thomas Edison Charter Academy (TECA) is a Transitional Kindergarten through eighth-grade school serving more than 600 students in San Francisco. A cornerstone of TECA's educational model is its Dual Language Program, which promotes bilingualism, biliteracy, and cross-cultural competency, preparing students to thrive in a diverse, global community.
TECA is one of 18 charter schools operating in the city and has been authorized by the San Francisco Unified School District since 2010. Originally authorized in 2001 as a Kindergarten through fifth-grade charter school, TECA expanded to include sixth grade in 2004 following a unanimous vote by the California State Board of Education, its authorizer at the time. The school continued to grow, adding seventh grade in 2005 and becoming a full Kindergarten through eighth-grade program in 2006.
In 2011, TECA transitioned to an independent nonprofit organization governed by a local board, a structure it maintains today.
