Job description

Core Responsibilities
  • Manage and support EDI processes and integrations within the IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environment.
  • Monitor EDI transactions and trading partner connections to ensure reliable and timely data exchange.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot EDI business processes, maps, and integrations.
  • Support data exchange through Value-Added Networks (VANs) and other connectivity mechanisms.
  • Investigate and resolve EDI transaction failures, transmission issues, mapping errors, and connectivity problems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external trading partners to troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.
  • Support onboarding, configuration, testing, and maintenance of new and existing trading partner integrations.
  • Monitor transaction status, identify processing issues, and take corrective actions to minimize business disruption.
  • Review EDI logs and transaction data to identify root causes and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Support EDI testing, validation, and deployment activities across development, test, and production environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation for EDI processes, trading partner configurations, mappings, and support procedures.
  • Ensure EDI processes follow established security, operational, and data-exchange standards.
  • Participate in production support, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, integration, and business teams to improve EDI reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in EDI integration, production support, or related integration technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
  • Experience supporting EDI transactions and trading partner integrations.
  • Experience working with VANs, SFTP, AS2, FTP/FTPS, or similar data-transfer protocols.
  • Strong understanding of EDI standards such as X12 and EDIFACT.
  • Experience troubleshooting EDI mappings, business processes, connectivity, and transaction failures.
  • Experience with EDI monitoring, production support, incident management, and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of B2B integration concepts and data exchange processes.
  • Experience supporting trading partner onboarding, testing, and implementation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway or related Sterling products.
  • Experience with EDI mapping and transformation tools.
  • Familiarity with APIs, web services, and modern integration technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise integration monitoring and operational support.
  • Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments with high-volume EDI transactions.
