Summary: Provides technical expertise and support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Business-to-Business communications. Responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining EDI interfaces, ensuring compliance, and supporting the user community and partner relationships.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain EDI mapping specifications and documentation.
  • Test, implement, and maintain EDI transactions and trading partner definitions using EDI translation software tools.
  • Coordinate communications with trading partners for EDI transaction setup and ongoing maintenance.
  • Ensure mapping compliance between trading partners and networks.
  • Test and resolve incoming EDI file problems.
  • Develop new business opportunities utilizing EDI.
  • Resolve technical mapping variations, gaps, and first-level troubleshooting issues in production environments.
  • Create guidelines, checklists, procedures, and training documentation.
  • Participate in systems design and quality assurance activities.
  • Coach junior technical staff and participate in multiple projects as a team member or lead.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of IT or related work experience in e-commerce, network, telecommunications engineering, and support in multi-platform environments.
  • Experience in EDI programs development, maintenance, and support on multiple platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with trading partners.
  • Familiarity with a variety of client/server platforms.
