EDI Analyst plays a critical role in enabling seamless data integration between Ulta Beauty and its supplier partners. This role ensures the reliability and efficiency of the end-to-end procure-to-pay EDI ecosystem across multiple platforms.
Partnering closely with IT, Supply Chain, and Business stakeholders, the EDI Analyst proactively monitors data flows, resolves issues, and drives continuous improvement in EDI processes. This individual serves as a key liaison between technical systems and business users, translating complex data challenges into actionable solutions and insights. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to build trusted relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
  • EDI Operations & Support
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day EDI support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution
    • Manage and prioritize EDI support tickets to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption
    • Monitor end-to-end EDI transaction flows to ensure data integrity and system performance
  • Partner Management
    • Build and manage relationships with trading partners and third-party EDI providers
    • Support onboarding of new trading partners, including setup, testing, and go-live coordination
    • Translate technical requirements into clear, actionable communication for partners
  • Configuration & Process Management
    • Oversee EDI partner setups and configurations across multiple systems and platforms
    • Maintain and improve EDI mappings, workflows, and integration processes
    • Ensure compliance with EDI standards and internal data governance requirements
  • Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
    • Develop and maintain reporting to track EDI performance, KPIs, and error trends
    • Analyze data to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
    • Recommend and support implementation of enhancements to optimize data flow and system reliability
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
    • Create and maintain clear, structured documentation for EDI processes and solutions
    • Support training and mentoring of team members in EDI concepts and tools

THE ESSENTAILS FOR SUCCESS:
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with EDI systems and integrations
  • Experience working with EDI formats such as X12, XML, IDOC, positional, or delimited files
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems
  • Experience with EDI platforms (e.g., OpenText, IBM Sterling, or similar)
  • Exposure to data analysis and reporting (Excel, SQL, or BI tools)
  • Retail, CPG, or manufacturing industry experience

The pay range for this position is $66,200.00 - $85,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company's bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
