Duration: 6 Month Contract TO HIRE

End Client: Express Scripts

POSITION SUMMARY: B2B/EDI engineer responsible for detail design, development, documentation, debugging and implementation of B2B/EDI solutions. Recommends changes and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Participate in developing software according to established requirements, technical plans, standards and system architecture specifications.

Utilize development practices that adhere to the Express Scripts Inc. (ESI) and B2B department policies, procedures and patterns ("Best Practices").

Architect, design, development, test, and implementation of applications.

Architect, design and implement a highly available and supportable run time environment.

Assist in building technical standards, methodologies and processes for successfully building first class external client integration (B2B) environment.

Resolve daily technical (support) issues and communicate solutions to the business community and technical staff.

Write documentation describing program development, logic, coding, and corrections.

Provide assistance to IT team members with issues needing technical expertise or systems and/or programming knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced WTX/Mercator programming skills.

Advanced UNIX/Linux skills.

Advanced knowledge of client integration (B2B) concepts and Electronic File Standards/Formats
