Job description

Responsibilities
Position Overview:
We're seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team in Fullerton, CA. The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for precision aerospace fittings manufactured from barstock and forgings. Materials include stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and high-strength alloys. This role ensures programs are efficient, repeatable, and compliant with aerospace quality standards (AS9100) while supporting on-time delivery and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
' Develop CNC programs for multi-axis mills and lathes (3 and 5-axis machines).
' Optimize cycle times while maintaining dimensional integrity and surface finish requirements.
' Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs to improve yield and reduce scrap.
' Support first article inspections (FAI) and AS9102 documentation requirements.
' Collaborate with Quality to resolve nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
' Provide technical guidance to CNC Machinists and Setup Technicians.
' Maintain program documentation, revision control, and backup systems.
' Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
' Associate degree or technical certification in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
' 5+ years of CNC programming experience in aerospace manufacturing.
' Experience machining aerospace fittings or tight-tolerance components preferred.
' Strong experience with; 3 axis machining, 5 axis simultaneous machining and CNC turning operations.
' Proficient in CAM software (Edgecam, Mastercam).
' Experience with Fanuc and Okuma CNC controls.
' Strong understanding of GD&T.
' Familiarity with: AS9100 quality systems, First Article Inspection (AS9102) and NADCAP requirements (if applicable).
' Ability to read and interpret complex Engineering documents.
' Strong understanding of cutting parameters and tool life management.
' High attention to detail and quality, ability to work in a fast-paced aerospace production environment.
' Strong collaboration and communication skills and process improvement mindset.
' Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Salary:
$45.00 - $48.00 /hr + eligibility for annual bonuses
