Job description

Business Development Manager
Location: Martin County, Florida
Reports To: Executive Director
A mission-driven nonprofit organization serving youth in Martin County is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead revenue growth and expand strategic partnerships that support programs focused on mentorship, leadership development, athletics, and community engagement.
This role is ideal for a relationship-builder who thrives in a purpose-driven environment and enjoys developing new opportunities that create meaningful impact in the community. The Business Development Manager will focus on identifying and securing corporate sponsorships, cultivating major donor relationships, and establishing partnerships with businesses, community leaders, and philanthropic organizations.
In this role, you will design and implement strategies to grow funding through sponsorships, donor development, and special events. Responsibilities include developing sponsorship packages, cultivating long-term relationships with partners, conducting donor meetings and presentations, and supporting fundraising initiatives including capital campaigns and community events. You will also represent the organization at networking functions, community meetings, and philanthropic events while building a strong pipeline of prospective donors and corporate partners.
Successful candidates will bring at least five years of experience in business development, fundraising, sponsorship acquisition, or partnership development. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of identifying new funding opportunities, cultivating relationships with decision-makers, and securing meaningful financial commitments. Strong communication, networking, and strategic planning skills are essential for success in this role.
This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $75,000 to $95,000, along with performance-based incentives tied to revenue generation. First-year revenue targets range from $200,000 to $400,000 in new funding commitments, reflecting the importance of this role in expanding program reach and community impact.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about building partnerships and creating sustainable funding that supports programs making a positive difference in the lives of youth throughout the community.
