Job description

Title: Partnerships and Employment Specialist
Program: Care Corps (Workforce Development)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
Program Description:
Care Corps is Project Renewal's newly launched, sector-based training program that provides a pathway for New Yorkers interested in pursuing careers in the behavioral health nursing support workforce. Since 2000, Project Renewal has helped nearly 5,000 New Yorkers find and retain employment, achieve economic security, lead more fulfilling lives, and positively contribute to their communities. Each year, we enroll over 600 adults who have significant barriers to employment, including those with histories of homelessness,
substance use, underemployment, mental health diagnoses, and criminal justice involvement. Our comprehensive approach allows us to work individually with each client to minimize barriers to employment and prepare them for the world of work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Partnership & Employment Specialist include but are not limited to the following activities:
  • Partnerships & Business Development
    • Develop, cultivate, and manage strategic partnerships with healthcare systems, hospitals, behavioral health providers, and other employers to create and expand employment and career advancement opportunities for program participants.
    • Conduct employer outreach to identify workforce needs and align program graduates with hiring demands.
    • Negotiate and coordinate interviews, hiring events, and other employer engagement activities.
    • Represent Care Corps and Project Renewal at industry events, networking meetings, and workforce gatherings to increase program visibility and strengthen employer relationships.
    • Identify opportunities to expand employer partnerships and support long-term program sustainability.
  • Employment Services
    • Match qualified graduates with employment opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and career goals.
    • Support participants throughout the job search process, including interview preparation, employer introductions, and transition-to-work support.
    • Collaborate closely with instructional and program staff to ensure participant readiness and alignment with employer expectations.
  • Data, Reporting & Program Improvement
    • Track employer engagement activities, job placements, and related metrics using Salesforce and other documentation systems.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting to support contract, funding, and program requirements.
    • Gather employer feedback and labor market insights to inform continuous process improvement and participant success.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in workforce development, employer engagement, staffing, recruitment, account management, business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to conduct outreach, identify employer workforce needs, and match qualified candidates to employment opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success developing, managing, and growing employer partnerships, preferably in healthcare or social service sectors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, virtual learning platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and data management systems such as Salesforce.
  • Experience working in performance-based programs with measurable outcomes and targets
