Job Requirements

The Economic Competitiveness Team leads LEDโ€™s efforts to position Louisiana to win and ensure sustainable growth for generations to come. The Economic Competitiveness team works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to foster an environment conducive to innovation, investment, and job creation.

This position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of FastSites, Louisianaโ€™s first comprehensive program aimed at increasing the inventory of market-ready sites and enhancing existing assets with regional impact, while generating quantifiable returns to the state.

Program Management

ยท Develop and Implement the Initiative. In coordination with the FastSites team and LED Competitiveness team, support implementation of the program

ยท Manage, Monitor, and Report on Projects. Monitor project progress, track outcomes, and provide regular updates to Executive Leadership

ยท Stakeholder Engagement. Engage with FastStart applicants and participants to support their progress; Communicate regularly with stakeholders

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will support long-term economic development initiatives by leveraging data, technology, and structured project management practices to drive execution and measurable outcomes. This role will focus on analyzing project data, managing workflows through technology platforms, and serving as a key point of contact for external clients receiving investment support from the State.

Success in this role requires a strong analytical mindset, comfort working in technology-enabled environments, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights. The ideal candidate will bring experience in project management, data analysis, and CRM-based workflow management, with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships, improve processes, and drive results.

ยท Plan, implement, and manage projects and recommendations using data-driven methodologies and technology-enabled workflows

ยท Serve as a point of contact for external clients receiving State investment support, coordinating communications, deliverables, and timelines

ยท Analyze project data and performance metrics to monitor progress, identify risks, and drive timely execution

ยท Develop and present findings, projections, and recommended actions to internal leadership and external stakeholders in clear, concise formats

ยท Manage ongoing project tracking, reporting, and documentation through CRM and project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com)


Work Experience

Job Requirements:

ยท Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, analytics, information systems, economics, or a related field

ยท 2โ€“4 years of experience in project management, operations, business analysis, consulting, or technology-driven roles

ยท Strong analytical skills with experience tracking performance metrics, building reports, and supporting data-informed decision-making
