Your role at Clorox:

The Emerging Direct Commerce Brand Lead shapes and advances the Business Unit's social commerce strategy across TikTok Shop and other direct-to-consumer emerging platforms as the digital commerce landscape and consumer habits shift, with explicit ownership of revenue/ GMV, profitability, learning, and consumer engagement outcomes. This role serves as the primary Business Unit (BU) partner, connecting marketing, sales, finance, agencies, operations, supply chain, and platform partners to define how social commerce supports growth, digital shelf excellence, consumer engagement, and broader ecommerce priorities.
The role leads social shop strategy, learning agenda, assortment, SKU optimization, sales forecasting, inventory planning, promotional plans, PDP and digital shelf execution, campaign activation, platform partnership opportunities, and performance optimization. Success requires a strategic, commercially minded marketer who can translate creator-led commerce trends, platform capabilities, and business priorities into actionable plans grounded in financial guardrails, operational readiness, brand standards, leadership operating cadences, and measurable business outcomes.

In this role, you will:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Business Unit's social commerce strategy across TikTok Shop and emerging commerce platforms, driving revenue, GMV, profitability, and consumer engagement.

  • Translate platform insights, creator trends, consumer behavior, and business performance into actionable strategies that support campaign planning, innovation, and business growth.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Brand Marketing, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal, Customer Care, Creative, Media, Social, and agency partners to deliver commercially successful social commerce initiatives.

  • Lead sales forecasting, inventory planning, assortment strategy, pricing, promotions, and launch readiness to optimize business performance and profitability.

  • Own digital shelf excellence, including PDP optimization, merchandising, content execution, and platform readiness to maximize discoverability and conversion.

  • Manage TikTok Shop affiliate and creator strategies, including agency partnerships, creator selection, campaign execution, and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with paid media teams and platform partners to optimize campaigns, drive ROAS, revenue, conversion, and overall business performance.

  • Establish a test-and-learn approach by analyzing business performance, identifying optimization opportunities, mitigating risks, and presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience in strategic marketing, ecommerce, digital commerce, social commerce, retail media, marketplace, and/or DTC, ideally within a consumer products or brand-led organization.

  • Ability to translate business objectives into channel strategies, activation plans, learning agendas, and measurable outcomes.

  • Strong analytical skills;proficiencywith sales and analytics tools. TikTok Seller Center & Affiliate Center experiencepreferred.

  • Experience delivering sales outcomes and/or familiarity with Retailer platforms, strategy and goals to deliver commercial outcomes.

  • Experience with sales forecasting, inventory planning, SKU optimization, digital shelf management, PDP execution, and marketplace or social commerce performance management.

  • Strong cross-functional leadership across brand, sales, finance, creative, legal, supply chain, operations, customer care, media, social, and agency teams.

  • Commercial and financial acumen across profitability, pricing, promotions, media investment, agency fees, commissions, fulfillment costs, and ROI.

  • Experience with affiliate, influencer, creator, paid media, social, and/or ecommerce agencies.

  • Understanding of content-driven commerce, creator-led discovery, social platform dynamics, digital shelf requirements, and performance marketing.

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity, build new ways of working, influence without authority, manage timelines, mitigate risk, and communicate clearly with working teams and leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
