That is why we are looking for an Ecommerce Program Manager who will be responsible for delivering a world-class experience through an integration of OEM and dealer digital applications. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of our B2B e-commerce strategy, collaborating effectively across departments and with our OEM to drive growth and enhance the Carolina Cat customer experience.

As the Ecommerce Program Manager, you will drive the customer adoption of e-commerce OEM and dealer digital applications. You will have the opportunity to lead the discovery and development of a dealer e-commerce solution. You must have experience creating and implementing a B2B e-commerce solution, while collaborating extensively with other key teams (sales, IT, OEM, etc.). You will also evaluate ongoing results of the customer’s digital journey to buy online, recommending and driving enhancements where necessary.

You will recommend and implement decisions that best fit the needs of diverse projects based on a strong understanding of best practices, while considering user experiences, site/application usage analytics, sales trends and other requirements and limitations. You will be responsible for ensuring the dealership achieves all requirements and targets under Caterpillar’s Digital Excellence Program.

You are a strategic individual with a creative mindset and are well-versed in e-commerce and UX applications with prior experience designing digital experiences that foster customer adoption and revenue growth in retail and online sales.

Essential Functions
  • Developing and executing an e-commerce strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
  • Responsible for the administration, support, customer care, and growth of Caterpillar and dealer e-commerce and digital applications.
  • Analyzing market trends and adapting strategies to compete with other brands in the industry effectively.
  • Collaborating with IT and Marketing departments to integrate technologies that improve the online customer experience.
  • Collaborating with marketing specialists to produce relevant marketing campaign and journey experiences to foster and grow activation, adoption and retention of Caterpillar and dealer e-commerce and digital applications.
  • Monitoring online sales and promotional activities to gauge responses to site updates, new product introductions, and other changes.
  • Identifying, managing and implementing integrated procurement projects and related customer requests.
  • Generating reports on e-commerce activity and performance, discussing the findings with senior leadership, and proposing new strategies to improve results.
  • Leading Caterpillar’s Digital Excellence program by delivering against the requirements, targets and attributes expected of the program annually.
  • Participating in pilots by the Caterpillar Digital and Aftermarket teams to continue to position Carolina Cat as a top dealer in digital excellence and delivering on global best practices in the dealer community.
  • Coordinating with appropriate teams to manage product listings, descriptions, and inventory levels.
  • Providing timely, in-depth analysis on web performance on all OEM web applications to gain a deeper understanding of customer/prospect behavior and leverage insights in marketing strategy to drive incremental online parts sales and application adoption.
  • Helping identify and troubleshoot UI and UX problems based on customer feedback, analytics, and business objectives.
  • Overseeing coordination of User Acceptance testing for all Caterpillar system related updates and changes to OEM applications.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations in online sales, including data protection laws.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in e-commerce technology best practices.

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related area of study and a minimum of 7 years of progressively more senior responsibilities as it relates to e-commerce, marketing, digital strategy, customer experience or sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep understanding of digital and e-Commerce practices, technologies and applications.
  • Experience with competitive brands or like-minded categories of business targeting a similar type of buyer segment.
  • Experience with a retail-centric organization, preference for dealer or franchise-based brands.
Skills & Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to execute innovative and results-focused marketing programs and campaigns consistent with marketing best practices.
  • Exceptional written, oral and presentation skills with advanced PowerPoint presentation skills.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, IT, Legal and HR.
  • Analytical skills to report KPIs and identify trends and challenges, using data to drive actionable customer-focused insights.
  • A high level of attention to detail and good organizational skills .
  • Able to interpret business needs into digital experience opportunities.
  • Must be passionate about user experience and demonstrate a willingness to stay up-to-date with an ever-changing list of best practices, new technologies and new ideas.
Computer Skills

Successful candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, Smartsheets, Project Management Applications (Wrike), and Google Analytics. Prior experience using CRM tools (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (Marketing Cloud and Pardot) a plus, but not required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Professional certifications in digital marketing, e-commerce, or project management, such as Certified E-commerce Professional (CEP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or Google Analytics Certification, can be advantageous.
