POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Ecommerce Director to lead and grow our established online sales channels, with a primary focus on Amazon and Shopify. This role will be responsible for further developing and executing existing ecommerce strategies that drive revenue growth, improve customer experience, optimize marketplace performance, and expand our presence across emerging digital sales platforms including Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and other relevant marketplaces.


The Ecommerce Director will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, customer service, and external agency partners to maximize online performance and brand visibility.


This role can be located in either Farmington, MI or Santa Clarita, CA.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ecommerce Strategy & Growth
  • Further develop and execute the companyโ€™s overall ecommerce strategy to drive online sales growth and profitability.
  • Identify and evaluate new ecommerce opportunities and emerging marketplaces including Walmart.com, TikTok Shop, and other relevant channels.
  • Create growth plans for expanding digital sales across multiple platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Amazon Marketplace Management
  • Oversee Amazon sales performance, product listings, SEO, pricing, promotions, inventory health, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with third-party Amazon advertising and media partners to manage ad spend, optimize campaigns, improve ROAS, TACOS, and other key metrics to increase marketplace visibility.
  • Monitor Amazon analytics, trends, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with Amazon policies and best practices.
  • Shopify & Direct-to-Consumer Operations
  • Manage and optimize the Shopify website experience including merchandising, product launches, promotions, content updates, and conversion optimization.
  • Partner with marketing teams to improve traffic, customer acquisition, retention, and email/SMS marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze customer behavior and website performance metrics to improve user experience and conversion rates.
  • Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and report key ecommerce KPIs including revenue, conversion rates, traffic, ROAS, TACOS, customer acquisition cost, and marketplace performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to make strategic recommendations and improve channel performance.
  • Develop forecasting and budgeting plans for ecommerce initiatives and advertising investments.
  • Management & Leadership
  • Lead a team who focuses on day-to-day management and optimization of Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and Shopify storefront operations.
  • Serve as a key member of the ATG leadership team.
  • Mentor and develop team to continue to focus on customers, grow channel, and make analytical decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to support inventory planning and fulfillment performance.
  • Coordinate with creative and marketing teams to ensure cohesive branding and promotional execution across all ecommerce platforms.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and platform representatives.


Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Business, Ecommerce, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of ecommerce leadership experience with significant focus on Amazon and web sales.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon advertising, marketplace management, and ecommerce analytics.
  • Experience working with third-party agencies or partners managing Amazon ad spend and digital marketplace advertising.
  • Familiarity with Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, and other emerging ecommerce platforms.
  • Proficiency with ecommerce analytics tools, reporting platforms, and Shopify ecosystem apps.
  • Strong leadership, communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Highly strategic and analytical with a results-oriented mindset.
