Job Description
Technical/Functional Skills and Expectations
• Experience addressing the technical needs and requirements of an IT audience and the business requirements of the customer (marketing, financial, operational)
• Delivering to the strategy of the ecommerce business; including the planning, implementation and management of the business from launch through to the successful delivery of services
• Advanced understanding of the online media or ecommerce solutions as well as web design.
• Advanced Java Knowledge - large scale Java application design
• Experience delivering software and implementing packages
• Participates in the software design, software development, and package implementation using Hybris
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
• Ability to comprehend "big picture" when presented with abstract requirements.
• Experience using Java, J2EE, HTML, JSP, EJB, SOAP & RESTservices.
Experience with Development, Customization & Configuration of a large scale
• eCommerce platform.
Experience working on large scale integration or eCommerce projects with multiple vendors.
Experience with JavaScript, JAX/JSON and JavaScript frameworks
Familiar with Content Management Systems, Google Analytics, Omniture,
• PaymentTech.
Work Experience Required
• 3+ years experience developing web-based applications
• 2+ years experience in Hybris eCommerce platform
• Advanced Java development experience
• Strong experience in Spring Framework
• Strong RDBMS, MySQL, Oracle and/or SQL server
• Experience with business rules engines, workflow systems, product configurations or data warehousing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Works independently with minimal oversight
• Strong HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills
• Working knowledge of Java, JSP or JSTL
Roles & Responsibilities
• Participate in the design, development, implementation, testing and documentation of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services.
• Translate functional requirements into robust, scalable, supportable solutions that work well within the overall system architecture.
• Participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance.
• Deliver project items on-time and on-point, communicating clearly with leads, manager and stakeholders.
• Contribute to architecture, design conversations, code reviews and implementation of industry best practices.
• Evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing software products and tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirements, as well as develop appropriate Use Cases to ensure that business requirements are met.
• Liaison with outside vendors to coordinate code development and acceptance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
