Basic Function: The eCommerce Sales Specialist is responsible for supporting the online presence of GNE products across various eCommerce and marketplace platforms and providing effective and satisfying customer experience by delivering high-quality customer service. In addition, this individual must be detail-oriented and motivated to manage and improve ongoing content delivery and product enhancements.

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborates with key internal personnel as well as internet and marketplace partners to post products on their sites.
  • Performs ongoing item maintenance and content enhancement on a multitude of ecommerce sites. Regularly enhances listings with improved images.
  • Maintains EDI and/or customer portals of major national ecommerce sites.
  • Reviews, processes, and accurately completes order entry tasks into web-based ERP.
  • Collects and maintains product data information and reports on active listings.
  • Assists in researching the eCommerce sales market, including new customers, products or related.
  • Provides exceptional service to customers and partners, assisting with product and order inquiries, and returns.
  • Monitors and tracks customer feedback and service data.
  • Assists with analyzing sales performance metrics.
  • Provides input and insight into competitor products, pricing, etc.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and all related information necessary for effective management.
  • Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
  • Attends training as directed by GNE.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel and others.
  • Knowledge of and experience with distribution & ecommerce sales.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient typing skills; must be able to accurately perform order entry tasks.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Preferred

  • At least 1 year of data entry or related sales experience.
  • Post secondary education and/or training in marketing, sales, or closely related field.
  • Business to business sales and/or customer service experience.
