Job description

Are you very friendly, outgoing, and engaging? Are you professional and confident, and good at helping customers feel welcomed, as well as good at sales? Art background is also a plus.

Eclipse Artisan Boutique, Wilmington’s award-winning art gallery and gift shop is seeking a results-driven Sales Associate to help drive revenue in-store and building customer relationships. We have several positions open ranging from part time to full time.

This is a high-impact, revenue-focused role for someone who thrives on hitting goals, understands selling techniques in a friendly and engaging manner.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Confidently engages customers and closes high-value sales
  • Understands relationship-based selling and builds repeat and referral business
  • Is motivated by performance goals, measurable growth, and clear targets
  • Wants to play a key role in expanding gallery sales and visibility

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Drive in-gallery sales using relationship-based selling techniques
  • Confidently present artwork and artisan collections to maximize purchase value
  • Handle pricing discussions and negotiations with professionalism and tact
  • Develop repeat and referral business through proactive outreach and follow-up
  • Track, report, and actively contribute to sales performance metrics and goals

Social Media & Digital Sales Strategy (if applicable to your role)

  • Assist in managing and growing the gallery’s social media presence
  • Create compelling, sales-focused content (posts, stories, reels, etc.) that converts interest into purchases
  • Use Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms to promote featured artists, collections, and new arrivals
  • Support website updates via WordPress to showcase products, events, and featured work
  • Use digital tools (email, DMs, social, etc.) to nurture customer relationships and promote events and special offerings

Operations & Client Experience

  • Help maintain inventory through our point-of-sale system
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, artists, vendors, and team members
  • Help maintain a polished, high-end gallery atmosphere that reflects our brand and artists
  • Support daily operations while delivering a warm, welcoming, and professional client experience

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven sales experience, with strong closing and negotiation skills
  • If applicable, social media skills to drive business results
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • WordPress, Photoshop are a plus
  • Highly organized with strong time-management and follow-through
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
  • Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
  • Interest in fine art and craft is a plus

Gallery Hours

  • Sunday: 12 PM – 5 PM
  • Monday–Friday: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • Saturday: 10 AM – 5 PM

Closed: Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
