About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Ceramic Machining to support advanced precision manufacturing for nuclear technology applications.

This position requires hands-on experience in ceramic machining. The ideal candidate will have experience with wire EDM, diamond grinding, CNC milling, CNC programming, tooling, and precision machining, along with strong CAD/CAM skills.

You will develop machining processes, design production tooling and fixtures, support prototype and production components, and improve manufacturing methods for high-precision applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement in-house ceramic machining processes for precision components.
  • Set up and operate CNC and other precision machining equipment.
  • Design and machine production tooling, fixtures, and prototype components.
  • Perform wire EDM, diamond grinding, and CNC milling of ceramic materials.
  • Review engineering drawings and apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Analyze inspection results and resolve machining and quality issues.
  • Develop and improve machining methods, processes, tooling, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Support CNC programming and process optimization.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce machining costs and improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate, procure, install, maintain, and calibrate machine shop equipment.
  • Apply GD&T and precision inspection methods to support quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and external machine shops on technical and production requirements.
  • Support capacity and scheduling activities with external machining partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of mechanical design and machine shop experience.
  • Hands-on ceramic machining experience is required.
  • Experience with ceramic machining processes, particularly wire EDM, diamond grinding, and CNC milling.
  • Strong understanding of machine shop manufacturing processes and setups.
  • Experience with precision machining and manufacturing equipment.

Required Technical Skills

  • SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar CAD/CAM software
  • CNC programming
  • CNC milling
  • Ceramic machining
  • Wire EDM
  • Diamond grinding
  • GD&T
  • Precision inspection and metrology
  • Tooling and fixture design

Preferred Experience

  • Experience operating CNC, conventional lathe, mill, and other precision machine shop equipment.
  • Experience with CMMs, 3D imaging, or other advanced metrology systems.
  • Experience with prototype tooling and finish machining.
  • Experience applying DFM principles to engineering drawings.
  • Experience developing manufacturing processes for specialized or difficult-to-machine materials.
  • Experience supporting high-precision production environments.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
