Job description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader - we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.
Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work - every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.
Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers - and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.
About the team and the role:
eBay Live is one of eBay's top strategic priorities, operating in a true zero-to-one space to define a new, interactive shopping experience for customers globally. As Live scales, we are building a dynamic, engaging, and differentiated marketplace that brings buyers and sellers together in entirely new ways.
The Senior Product Manager, eBay Live will own a critical product area within the Agentic Seller Platform, helping define the next generation of intelligent experiences that empower sellers and hosts to grow their businesses and succeed on the platform. This role will lead product strategy and execution across AI-powered seller experiences, intelligent recommendations, workflow automation, and platform capabilities that help sellers and hosts operate more efficiently before, during, and after live events. You will identify customer problems, define innovative product solutions, and deliver experiences that leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to simplify complex workflows, unlock growth opportunities, and improve seller productivity.
As eBay Live continues to scale globally, you will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, Trust, Policy, Operations, and Global Markets to build intelligent, personalized, and increasingly agentic experiences that help sellers make better decisions, automate routine work, and deliver exceptional live shopping experiences. This role is ideal for a product manager who thrives in ambiguity, is passionate about applying AI to solve real customer problems, and enjoys building innovative products from concept through execution in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
What you will accomplish:
  • Own product strategy and execution for a key area of the Agentic Seller Platform by identifying customer problems, defining product strategy, and delivering AI-powered experiences that help sellers and hosts discover opportunities, make better decisions, and automate routine workflows.
  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle by leading product discovery, customer research, opportunity sizing, roadmap prioritization, product definition, launch, and iteration, while balancing customer value, technical feasibility, and business impact.
  • Build intelligent seller experiences that leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to simplify complex seller workflows, improve operational efficiency, increase seller productivity, and help sellers grow their businesses on eBay Live.
  • Partner across highly cross-functional teams by working closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Research, Analytics, Trust, Policy, Operations, and Global Markets to align priorities, make thoughtful tradeoffs, and successfully deliver complex initiatives at scale.
  • Define success through data and customer insights by establishing clear product metrics, leveraging qualitative and quantitative research to inform prioritization, measuring product performance, and continuously optimizing experiences to improve customer outcomes and marketplace health.
  • Write clear product requirements and drive execution excellence by developing high-quality product requirements, defining hypotheses and success criteria, managing execution across multiple workstreams, and ensuring teams deliver high-impact solutions with speed and quality.
  • Influence product direction through strong product leadership by bringing a customer-first mindset, leveraging deep product judgment, building alignment across stakeholders, and championing innovative ideas that shape the future of AI-powered seller experiences on eBay Live.

What you will bring:
  • 8+ years of product management or related strategy experience, with e-commerce, video, or social commerce experience highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Ambiguity Management: Exceptional ability to thrive in an ambiguous, 0-1 environment, distilling complex, unclear problems into a clear product vision and actionable roadmap.
  • Prioritization and Tradeoffs: Demonstrated ability to evaluate options, assess trade-offs (short-term vs. long-term), and recommend a path forward, even with incomplete data.
  • Influence & Communication: Masters written and verbal communication, adapting your message to influence both execution teams and executive leadership. Ability to lead and inspire without direct authority.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proven ability to use quantitative and qualitative insights to build strong business cases, define necessary data, and measure product performance.
