Job description

Registered Dietitian — Eating Disorders (Hybrid or Remote, Texas) Empathy Nutrition Therapy | Round Rock and Austin, TX

(ONLY REGISTERED DIETITIANS IN THE UNITED STATES WILL BE ACCEPTED)

ABOUT EMPATHY NUTRITION THERAPY

Empathy Nutrition Therapy is a growing private practice in the Austin, Texas area specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, disordered eating, and co-occurring conditions. Our dietitians are Health at Every Size and intuitive eating informed, and use evidence-based practices.

Our values are empathy, collaboration, authenticity, and trust — and they shape how we treat our clients and each other.

We accept major insurance carriers because we believe access to care matters. You'll be paneled with insurance as part of your onboarding, and we handle the credentialing for you.

THE ROLE

You'll provide individual nutrition counseling to adults and adolescents/families, with a focus on eating disorders, disordered eating, and other medical conditions.

This is a W2 employee position — not contract. It starts part-time with the potential to move to full-time.

The best fit is someone who wants to join a group practice and focus solely on patient-centered client care while the administrative and business side is taken care of for them: billing, insurance, credentialing, referrals, and the EHR are all handled. It's also a role for someone who wants to be part of a practice that's still growing and shaping itself.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Provide individual nutrition counseling to adults, adolescents, and families in accordance with our policies and practice philosophies

• Communicate with a client's treatment team as needed, and obtain medical records from other treatment team members when appropriate

• Include diagnosis codes as needed, with proper documentation from other treatment providers

• Complete record keeping in a timely manner by end of day and keep client files up to date

• Attend supervision, continuing education, and all mandatory meetings and trainings

• Other duties may be included

SCHEDULE & LOCATION

• Hybrid preferred — a mix of virtual and in-person sessions. Fully virtual is open for the right candidate.

• In-person work is based in Austin and Round Rock, TX

• Flexible schedule

• Full-time is considered a minimum of 22 sessions per week

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Competitive pay

• Health, dental, and vision insurance (full-time)

• 401(k) matching

• Paid sick time (full-time)

• Continuing education credits

• Built-in CEDS-C supervision — if you're working toward your Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification, you'll earn hours while you work

• Referrals provided

• Insurance billing handled for you

• Electronic health record

• Flexible schedule

• Opportunity for growth in a respected and growing practice

WHO YOU ARE

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics and completed internship

• Active, unrestricted Registered Dietitian (RD) credential — a copy must be provided to Empathy Nutrition Therapy

• Licensed in Texas, or willing to obtain Texas licensure

• Committed to weight-inclusive, non-diet care

• Self-motivated, organized, and strong with time management

• Compassionate, authentic, and trustworthy, with the ability to maintain appropriate boundaries

Preferred:

• Two years of experience as a registered dietitian in the eating disorder field

• Experience working with adolescents/families and adults

WHAT WE EXPECT OF EVERYONE HERE

• Adherence to our values and practice philosophies

• Proper, current licensure

• Compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics binding upon or applicable to Empathy Nutrition Therapy

• Regular and reliable attendance

• Respect for every member of the Empathy Nutrition Therapy team
