Position Overview

Life Journey Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our growing team on a full-time basis. This remote position allows you to engage with clients in a telehealth setting, providing essential support to individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. You will analyze clients' mental health statuses, formulate tailored therapeutic plans, and guide them through evidence-based treatment practices aimed at improving their well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their mental health conditions, utilizing both clinical interviews and standardized assessment tools.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' unique needs, including evidence-based interventions for disorders such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
  • Provide ongoing support through regular telehealth sessions, helping clients implement coping strategies and therapeutic techniques to manage their conditions effectively.
  • Maintain accurate client records in compliance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR) system to document treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, referring clients to psychiatrists or other specialists when necessary to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health treatment to provide the highest standard of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse range of clients, offering support to those grappling with various mental health issues. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals experiencing severe depression, anxiety disorders, substance use challenges, and eating disorders. Emphasizing cultural competence, you will ensure that your therapeutic approach is respectful and responsive to the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW is required.
  • At least four years of relevant clinical experience, demonstrating a proven track record in delivering individual and group therapy.
  • A profound understanding of various mental health disorders and an ability to apply evidence-based treatment approaches tailored to meet the needs of diverse clients.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on building rapport and trust with clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a telehealth environment or with digital therapy platforms.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance documentation practices.
  • Prior experience working in multicultural settings and an ability to employ culturally responsive therapeutic methods.
