Job description

Rahns Trucking, Inc., a partner of theH&K Group, Inc., is hiring CDL A or B Local Concrete Mixer Drivers in Bethlehem, PA. Drivers will be driving under loading hopper to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water. Drivers will then be starting the mixer and locally delivering & unloading the concrete. Rahns Concreteis a major supplier of ready-mix and precast concrete products to eastern Pennsylvania (PA) and the surrounding three-state (NY, NJ, and DE) region.Rahnscurrently operates eight permanent ready-mix concrete plants across eastern PA.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience
    • Overtime pay after 40 hours

Home Time, Route, & Schedule

  • Home Time: Home daily
  • Schedule: 6 days per week
  • Shift: 12 hour shift, start times vary
    • PM start times between 8-11pm
    • AM start times between 4-6am
  • Route: 200 miles around Bethlehem, PA
  • Level of Touch:
    • Assembles cement chute
    • Moves levers on truck to release concrete down truck chute
    • Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
    • Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete

Equipment

  • Late model Oshkosh and Terex concrete mixer trucks
  • Automatic & manual transmission
  • Inward & outward facing cameras

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A or B license
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year verifiable commercial or tri axle driving experience
  • Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of Bethlehem, PA or be willing to relocate for this position
