Job description

To learn more about what it’s like to be part of our team, we encourage you to read our Employee FAQs.
Early Morning Delivery Driver | Saint Honoré Bakery
About Saint Honoré Bakery
Saint Honoré is a Northwest institution dedicated to the authentic art of French boulangerie and pâtisserie. Our goal is to bring the soul of a Parisian neighborhood bakery to our local community through traditional techniques and high-quality ingredients. We focus on consistency, craft, and the simple joy of a perfect baguette.
The Role
This position is a vital link in our daily operations, ensuring that the hard work of our bakers reaches its destination perfectly. Working out of our Macadam location, you will be responsible for transporting our artisan goods to other Saint Honoré cafes and our valued wholesale partners.
Why You’ll Love This Shift
If you are an introvert who finds peace in the quiet of the early morning and the rhythm of a solo commute, you’ll find your stride here. This role offers a mostly predictable and somewhat stable routine where you can focus on your tasks without the noise of a traditional office or retail environment. You get to own your space, enjoy the open roads, and finish your workday while the rest of the world is just waking up.
And every once in a while do some urgent transportation between locations.
Your Morning at a Glance
● Start your day in the calm of the early hours (1:00 AM or 4:00 AM) at our Macadam location.
● Carefully load and organize fresh-baked goods into the delivery vehicle.
● Double-check wholesale orders for accuracy to ensure our partners have exactly what they need.
● Follow a consistent, established delivery route through the city.
● Safely transport delicate pastries and breads, maintaining their quality from oven to shelf.
● Provide brief, professional, and friendly drop-offs to our wholesale partners.
● Keep your vehicle tidy and maintain simple logs of your mileage and fuel.
● Collaborate quietly with the production team to ensure a smooth hand-off each morning.
● Check in with each location to ensure any intra-company transfers are handled.
What You Bring to the Team
● A valid driver’s license and a clean, dependable driving record.
● An appreciation for detail; you notice when a box is missing or a label is off.
● The physical ability to lift and move crates of bread and pastry comfortably.
● A preference for early morning hours and the ability to navigate the city efficiently.
The Interview Process
We value your time and want to make this process as low-stress as possible:
1. Initial Conversation: A 20-minute online interview to discuss the basics.
2. In-Person Meet: A follow-up interview with our Director of Bakery Operations to see the space.
Pay amp; Benefits
Rate: $20.00 per hour.
● Comprehensive Health and Dental insurance.
● Paid Time Off (PTO) to ensure you stay recharged.
● Employee discounts on our authentic French breads and pastries.
