JOB POSTING DATE: August 5, 2025

BASIC FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Principal, serves as a consultant/resource person as well as an instructor of the early childhood students and facilitates appropriate instruction and effective intervention strategies to maximize students' potential and achievement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Exercise leadership in the research, development, implementation and evaluation of Early Childhood Program
  • Ensures compliance with all State and Federal mandates for program.
  • Supervises and mentors the Pre-K & Tutorial Program Staff
  • Evaluates the Pre-K programs including assessments and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Assists in the supervision of student discipline and oversees the implementation of the classroom and school discipline policies
  • Acts in the capacity as backup support for the Principal and curriculum coordinator during their absence and/or as needed.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Principal, the Superintendent or designee

Requirements
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must possess a Masters Degree in Early Childhood
  • Having a Michigan Teacher Certification with a ZA or ZO endorsement preferred
  • Must have had a minimum of 3 years experience overseeing an early childhood program
  • Must be familiar with the Great Start Readiness Program or its equivalent
  • Must have thorough knowledge of the State Licensing requirements
  • Willingness to obtain credentials needed for School Administration per Michigan Department of Education guidelines
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working in culturally diverse setting
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Flexible open minded, self driven team member
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
