Job description

Summary of Position:
The eLearning Developer is responsible for collaborating with the Training Curriculum Team to create quality training material. This position is focused on understanding what training material is needed, collecting the necessary information, and developing the course material that satisfies the need. As part of the Curriculum Team, the eLearning Developer will be tasked with becoming proficient with the different software required to develop quality content at the direction of the Curriculum Coordinator. The goal of this position is to support the Training Department's mission of providing the opportunity for employees to better themselves professionally
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Ability to research, analyze, and recommend solutions on how to create material for technical and complicated training
  • Preferred experience with designing engaging and interactive training using multiple delivery methods; classroom, virtual, and web-based training
  • Experience using creative software such Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Mindstamp, etc..
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, establish priorities, organize, and plan work
  • Familiarity with web, application, and database software development
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and/or modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Some familiarity with audio and video production, editing, encoding and publishing experience
  • Passion for training and educating the workforce

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Understands all aspects of the training platform.
  • Helps build/add/remove courses as needed and directed.
  • Leverages various software programs for content creation daily.
  • Develops training materials ranging from simple to complex.
  • Ability to write design documents and design storyboards
  • Collaborates with department heads, managers, and SMEs on training material creation.
  • Identifies repetitive delivery techniques inside training modules and provides alternative solutions for course creation.
  • Deploys Liberty's content development workflow process when creating new training material.
  • Interacts and engages in conversation to understand a department's vision for training material.
