About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM/VDC Manager to lead the development, implementation, and execution of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) strategies across complex industrial, manufacturing, mission-critical, and data center construction projects.

This role will establish BIM standards, oversee model coordination, lead clash detection efforts, and drive digital construction initiatives from preconstruction through project closeout. The successful candidate will collaborate with operations, engineering, estimating, and project management teams to improve project outcomes through technology and innovation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage company-wide BIM/VDC standards, workflows, and best practices.
  • Lead BIM execution planning and project startup activities.
  • Manage BIM/VDC Coordinators and project-level modeling resources.
  • Oversee model development, clash detection, and coordination meetings.
  • Support preconstruction teams with constructability reviews and 4D/5D planning.
  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and project teams.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging construction technologies.
  • Develop reporting metrics and KPI tracking for BIM/VDC initiatives.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of BIM/VDC personnel.
  • Assist operations teams in leveraging models during construction.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience within construction.
  • 2+ years leading BIM teams and project coordination efforts.
  • Experience supporting industrial, commercial, mission-critical, manufacturing, or data center projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods.
  • Experience with:
    • Autodesk Revit
    • Navisworks Manage
    • Autodesk Construction Cloud
    • BIM 360
    • AutoCAD
    • Bluebeam
  • Knowledge of 4D scheduling and 5D estimating preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience.
  • Mechanical, electrical, or process piping background.
  • Experience implementing enterprise BIM standards.

Professional certifications related to BIM/VDC preferred
