Overview

This is an intern level position. Intern will gain practical, hands-on experience in the utility industry under close supervision. This position will provide challenging assignments, networking opportunities, and a chance to learn from experienced energy industry professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Learn OSHA and company safety rules, procedures, and practices.
  • Assist employees in carrying out work assignments.
  • Develop core drafting/design fundamentals including interpreting and creating basic distribution drawings.
  • Assist with assembling design packages, managing records, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
  • Adhere to the procedures for the administration, storage, tracking, and retrieval of company documents.
  • Assist with the coordination of design for new company facilities collaborating with outside agencies, utilities, customers, and contractors.
  • Communicate through both verbal and written reports.
  • Perform work in a responsible and cooperative manner to facilitate a positive working environment.
  • Clean and maintain orderly supplies and equipment within the work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Must be currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in a technical field. Applicable degree fields include Engineering and Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance, CAD/CADD, or a related field.

Minimum 2.50 GPA.
