They coordinate teams, manage e-discovery software, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. E-Discovery Managers often work with legal counsel, IT staff, and vendors to streamline the process and minimize risks. Their role is critical in helping organizations handle large volumes of electronic data efficiently for litigation or regulatory matters.

How does an e discovery manager typically collaborate with legal teams and IT departments during investigations?

An E-Discovery Manager works closely with both legal teams and IT departments to ensure that electronically stored information (ESI) is properly identified, preserved, collected, and reviewed during legal matters.
