Do you want to work with high-caliber professionals in a dynamic and growing company? Are you entrepreneurial, hard-working, and collegial? Join us at SB Energy, a leading infrastructure company backed by SoftBank Group and Ares Infrastructure, pairing cutting-edge innovation with best-in-class execution. Our mission is to deliver reliable and secure data center and power infrastructure to strengthen America's future.
Founded in 2019, SB Energy is a SoftBank Group company headquartered in Redwood City, California. In 2026, SoftBank Group and OpenAI announced a $1 billion investment to support SB Energy as their leading development and execution partner for data center campuses, while Ares Infrastructure continues its long-standing support of the company's growth. SB Energy develops, builds, owns, and operates some of the largest and most technically advanced energy and data center infrastructure projects in the United States. Since its founding, the company has rapidly grown into a top-tier integrated platform with more than 3 gigawatts (GW) in operation and a multi-GW pipeline of energy and data center infrastructure nationwide.
SB Energy also leverages a strong culture of innovation to identify and integrate new technologies into its projects, including its AI-based digital platform, delivering energy infrastructure that is local, reliable, and matched to load. We are building the energy and infrastructure future-today.
Come join us in accelerating the energy and infrastructure transition!
Basic Function
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner with deep recruiting expertise to help shape and execute SB Energy's people strategy during a period of rapid growth. This is a strategic, hands-on role for a talent leader who can move quickly, build durable hiring infrastructure, and source, engage, and close rare and business-critical talent across functions and levels.
The role will partner closely with executives, business leaders, hiring managers, internal recruiting resources, and external search partners to identify future talent needs, develop high-impact search strategies, improve candidate and hiring-manager experiences, and deliver the talent required to support a high-performing, scaling organization.
The job title, level, scope, and compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and overall profile.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy & Execution
  • Lead hiring strategies across functions and levels, with emphasis on rare, critical, and hard-to-fill talent essential to business growth.
  • Partner with leaders and hiring managers to define hiring needs, sharpen role requirements, assess talent markets, and build targeted sourcing and search strategies.
  • Provide full-cycle and strategic recruiting support as needed, including intake, sourcing, candidate engagement, interview planning, selection calibration, offer partnership, and close strategy.
  • Partner closely with internal recruiting leads and external search partners to drive prioritization, accountability, timely execution, and high-quality candidate slates.
  • Source, attract, and help close high-impact candidates in competitive markets through creative outreach, market mapping, referrals, and external partnerships.
  • Build scalable recruiting processes, tools, and reporting practices that improve speed, quality, consistency, and hiring-manager accountability.
  • Translate business priorities into practical hiring plans, capacity models, search priorities, and talent initiatives that support rapid, sustainable growth.
  • Use recruiting metrics and market insights to identify bottlenecks, improve funnel performance, inform workforce planning, and keep searches moving quickly.
  • Ensure onboarding processes scale along with our growth to maintain a top-quality onboarding experience for new hires.

Business Partnering & People Leadership
  • Provide day-to-day HR partnership to leaders and teams, acting as a trusted advisor on talent, leadership, performance, and culture.
  • Coach managers on effective hiring decisions, interview practices, onboarding, team dynamics, and performance expectations.
  • Navigate complex employee relations and people topics with sound judgment, discretion, and practical risk awareness.
  • Support people programs and initiatives that reinforce values, engagement, inclusion, and a high-performing culture.

Policies, Processes & Compliance
  • Develop and improve people policies, programs, and processes that scale with the business and support a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure recruiting and HR practices comply with applicable employment laws, internal policies, and best practices.
  • Continuously improve systems, workflows, documentation, and stakeholder communications across the employee lifecycle.
  • Prepare people and talent data, reports, dashboards, and analyses that support workforce planning, compliance, audits, and leadership decision-making.

Qualifications/Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in HR / People roles, with significant experience leading or partnering deeply with talent acquisition in high-growth or evolving organizations.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute recruiting strategies across multiple functions and levels, including leadership, niche, rare, and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to source, engage, influence, and close critical talent in competitive markets with urgency, creativity, and strong candidate judgment.
  • Experience partnering with internal recruiting teams, hiring managers, senior leaders, and external search partners to drive searches from strategy through close.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, hiring operations, workforce planning, interview design, candidate experience, offer strategy, and hiring-manager enablement.
  • Ability to operate across multiple people functions, including talent acquisition, HR business partnering, people programs, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with a hands-on, execution-focused mindset and the ability to move quickly in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and change-management skills.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and ability to navigate ambiguity in a rapidly growing organization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, equivalent experience, or HR certification
  • Experience supporting high-growth, newly scaled, or project-based business lines where hiring velocity and quality are both critical.
  • Experience building or improving recruiting processes, interview frameworks, hiring-manager training, external search partnerships, or talent operations infrastructure.
  • Experience partnering with distributed, hybrid, or multi-state teams.
  • Familiarity with employment compliance considerations related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning.
