Job description

Summary:

Develop, coordinate, and maintain production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations while meeting customer delivery requirements. Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams to balance demand, capacity, material availability, and labor resources. Play a critical role in optimizing workflow, minimizing delays, and supporting on-time delivery performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate fulfillment of sales orders by ensuring materials and parts are available to meet production schedules.
  • Analyze new orders to determine material requirements, availability, and lead times
  • Manage MRP data, track material allocations, and develop shipment plans with attention to shortages and recovery options.
  • Work closely with purchasing to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve production issues affecting schedule adherence.
  • Expedite critical materials through suppliers and internal teams to meet delivery goals.
  • Identify and escalate bottlenecks, shortages, or operational issues impacting production flow and delivery timelines.
  • Generate and distribute scheduling, inventory, and delivery performance reports.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, expedited orders, and capacity utilization.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between manufacturing, supply chain, and sales/customer service teams.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning, ERP optimization, and operational efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3 years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations experience.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, capacity planning, and scheduling principles.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyze data and make sound planning decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to changing business needs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP and SalesPad.
  • Ability to speak Spanish.
