What You'll Do

As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will lead efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency, reduce waste, optimize production processes, and support new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and workflows
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S initiatives
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and sources of waste, then implement sustainable solutions
  • Create and maintain manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and process documentation
  • Support production teams with troubleshooting and technical problem-solving
  • Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Modify and maintain 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
  • Design manufacturing, assembly, and inspection tooling
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and product validations
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and product structures within ERP/PDM systems
  • Execute process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Develop and track KPIs such as OEE, scrap, labor efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery
  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machine manufacturing or similar environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Experience with process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ)
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience using CAD software, including SolidWorks and/or Autodesk products
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in automation, machine design, material handling, or custom equipment manufacturing
  • Background in medical devices, aerospace, laser technology, or food and beverage manufacturing
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar platforms
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100 standards
  • Technical certifications in automation, quality, machine design, or related disciplines
