Job description

Ahead of Ready
Space is a critical domain, connecting our technologies, our security and our humanity. While others view space as a destination, we see it as a realm of possibilities, where we can do more - we can innovate, invest, inspire and integrate our capabilities to transform the future.
At Lockheed Martin Space, we aim to harness the full potential of space to cultivate innovation, reduce costs, and push the boundaries of what technology can achieve. We're creating future-ready solutions, focusing on resiliency and urgency through our 21st Century Security vision. We're erasing boundaries and forming partnerships across industries and around the world. We're advancing spacecraft and the workforce to fuel the next generation. And we're reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.
Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.
In your role as an Associate Manager in the Structural Analysis Department, you will focus on meeting technical program requirements while ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget. You will lead both preliminary and detailed dynamic analyses of spacecraft and missile structures using advanced tools and methodologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and supervising a team of dynamic analysts in the areas of modal and loads analysis, environment assessment support, rigid and flex body separation and deployment analysis and mechanical survivability and hardening analysis, while supporting multiple programs and business areas.
Providing mentorship, training, and career development for a team of 4-7 employees.
Representing the organization in design reviews and in engagements with external contractors and customers.
Supporting the definition and execution of dynamic testing, including requirements development, progress tracking, data reduction, and comparison of test results with analytical models-while accounting for related mechanical factors such as thermal effects, material behavior, and overall system-level requirements.
