Job Summary of the Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

The Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect will play a key role within a growing team responsible for the support and evolution of an enterprise ERP ecosystem built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This role drives the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of scalable custom solutions, including D365 extensions, X++ customizations, API and SFTP integrations, and enterprise reporting using SQL, and Power BI.

The architect will support data mapping for integration and data loads ensuring data integrity across a complex integration landscape that includes systems such as Tulip (MES), Dynamics CRM, Workday, LMS, Master Control, and other third-party platforms.

This position requires deep hands-on expertise in X++ development, API-based integrations, Power Platform, SQL, and Azure services, combined with strong leadership in technical solution design and delivery. The ideal candidate will champion modern, scalable architecture, drive best practices, and ensure high-quality, resilient solutions across the ERP ecosystem.

Requirements of the Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

  • Minimum 12 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement).
  • Strong knowledge of Power Platform and Azure Integration
  • Expertise in API development, SQL, middleware integration, and data migration tools
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM integration, custom reporting, X++ coding, and business process
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder communication

Preferred Skills / Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (FI and/or SCM)
  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant
  • Azure Fundamentals Certification
  • Experience with SQL Server and BI
  • Six Sigma, Transactional Lean or similar certification preferred

Responsibilities of the Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect

The specific duties of the Sr. Dynamics 365 Technical Architect include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Dynamics 365 administration expertise in a Cloud Hosted environment
  • Serve as the Lead Architect, providing guidance on solution design and best practices with expertise driving continuous improvement across business process workstreams: Source to Pay, Plan to Produce, Order to Cash, Inventory to Deliver, Acquire to Retire, and Record to Report
  • Responsible for optimization, customization, and configuration of Dynamics 365 System to include leveraging X++, Power Apps, API's, SQL and like technologies
  • Expert with integrating Dynamics 365 with enterprise systems including CRM, MES (Tulip), Workday, LMS, Master Control, and other enterprise systems leveraging various technologies such as, APIs, web services, Power Platform, and Azure tools
  • Solid knowledge of ISVs (Independent Software Vendors) and their role in extending Dynamics 365 capabilities
  • Performs routine administrative tasks such as maintaining user accounts and security profiles, running check links; reconciles, software releases, and deploying packages
  • Coordinates activities between IT, hardware systems, data services, hosting vendor, external organizations and user community
  • Ensure adherence to Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements within a Life Sciences
  • Maintain compliance with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 regulations for electronic records and
  • Ensure continuity and efficiency by troubleshooting errors, evaluating data, and helping to maintain data integrity, including testing, and analyzing data anomalies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure system scalability, security, and adherence to best practices for enterprise architecture
  • Performs data mapping exercises to support integrations and data loads
